As a licensed cosmetologist, I’ve found that there are certain areas to look for in hair to ensure you’re getting a good product. Keeping this in mind, I’ve found the benefit of being on the lookout for these subtle details.
Today I will be reviewing the brand Diamond Hair Co. Specifically focusing on their lace Brazilian straight wig. Keep in mind this unit was bought out of pocket and no incentives were given to write this review.
Overview
Hope Hall and Antonio Lisenbee are the owners of the Indianapolis based company, Diamond Virgin Hair co. They were founded in 2011 and in just 5 years became a multi-million dollar business that receives orders from all over the world. Ten years later and they are still thriving.
The site covers all the common inquiries and has an easy to follow layout. This allows for the user to quickly find what they are looking for. One downside to the site is you would have to reload the screen every time you clicked on a new section in order to receive all the information.
Diamond Hair is known for their weave bundle deals. They offer a full weave at a reasonable price along with many other products such as wigs, products, and accessories. One area the company could have improved on is offering more customizations, especially on expensive products.

My personal experience with the company didn’t excel when it came to customer service. I asked a question via live chat and never received a reply. My inquiry wasn’t urgent and just general so it didn’t pose much of a problem. In addition to the live chat, they also offer the option to email and call representatives.
The delivery on this product was extremely fast, 2 business days. There was an additional $15 fee for the standard shipping which also came with a required signature. The order was shipped via USPS and they also offer the ability to choose an express form of shipping .
The reviews on this company were all over the place. Some reviews were extremely positive while others were not happy with the hair quality. If you are paying such a high price for you, you expect it to be worth it, their complaints are understandable.
What I Like
- Lace – The color and material allow for seamless blending.
- Delivery time – The hair came in 3 business days with standard shipping.
- Density – The ends were just as thick as the rest of the unit.
What I Don’t Like
- Customer service – They claim to respond in minutes, but it took over 2 days.
- Store response – The page had to be reloaded every time I accessed a new page.
- Customizations – The unit comes okay but, for the price, you expect options.
Hair Quality
Hair Strand
The strands on this unit were extremely soft and silky. You could easily brush through the hair without getting any tangles. While brushing through the hair, you could see little to no strands coming out which is ideal as the hair will last longer.
The color came across very consistent, the straight texture allows you to accurately see the color of the wig. Any uneven coloring would be shown right away, your eye would likely be down to the imperfection.
The color of the unit is 1B. The color is consistent from root to tip with slight warm undertones. They don’t have the option to customize anything on this unit besides the length of the strands.
Hairline
This wig came with a natural hairline and I believe the company did a good job at delivering. Both the knots and the lace work together to form a perfect, natural looking base.
The knots are lightly bleached and appear to be single knotted. This allows the strands to blend into the lace. Most units have knots that get thicker as you reach the crown of the wig, but not this product.
The lace came in the color transparent tan and is made from a very stretchy material. The lace extends down the entire side of the unit. This ensures the entire hairline will look natural and blend well into the scalp.
Density
The density of this unit is 150% which is average. While there isn’t an option to alter the density, it works perfect for the 10 inch length.
Since the hair is shorter in length, the ends of the strands are just as thick as the rest of the unit. While 150% works, it may pose a problem if you choose a longer length like 24 inches. You would likely have to style the hair in a specific way to ensure the hair doesn’t look thin at the bottom.
The hair was $300 which is expensive, but even with a smaller density, the hair is worth the price. The hair on the frontal is just as thick as the rest of the unit. When parting the wig, there didn’t appear to be any section where the lace was too prominature due to lack of hair.
Construction
The unit was made very well. There weren’t any loose strings or uneven wefts. The wefts were placed consistently on the cap allowing for a thick unit and little room for the cap to show.
The color of the lace, cap, and thread were all well thought out too. They blended well with the hair strands making it appear natural.
The hairline was constructed very well. The frontal perfectly lined up with the cap and the unit felt sturdy. After you’ve paid so much, you don’t want your purchase to fall apart after a few uses.
Cap Size
The wig came with a cap size medium. There was not the option to choose but, by offering an average size, it will fit most. Even if you have a lot of hair, the cap is stretchy enough to account for it.
The cap came with 4 combs to secure the unit. The material of the cap was extremely stretchy and is likely to conform to any size head. This is ideal as the wig will lay flat on the head looking natural.
Although they didn’t offer customizations, it didn’t cause a problem. While it would have been nice, especially since the unit was on the expensive side, you still receive a quality wig.
Store Experience
While first viewing the landing page you are greeted with a wide range of popups that highlight current deals the site is offering. They also offer discount codes to use on specified items.
I found the site to lag behind and not want to fully process requests at times. I would have to reload the screen everytime I wanted to view the description of a product. After this step was taken, I was able to fully navigate.
I personally felt as if the site could have been more informative in certain areas. It would have been nice to have a page dedicated to the company’s start and overall goals. This would have made it more personal and easier for a customer to connect and gain confidence.
Range of Products
Diamond Hair is most known for the weaves they offer. This being the case, they also offer a variety of different options such as wigs and edge fillers. Their products come in many different hair types making them the perfect option for many.
In addition to hair, the company offers the sale of Design Essential which is a popular hair care brand. Hair products are important if you want to take the best care of your extensions. Diamond Hair also offers hair accessories to further elevate the shoppers experience.
One thing to mention about their products is they don’t offer a wide range of customizations. You have the opportunity to alter the length in most cases and that’s it. It would have been nice to choose a specific type of lace and even change up the color.
Customer Support
The company is based out of Indianapolis and operates out of a physical store. They initially send the confirmation of order through email but also have the option to call as well as send in an inquiry form.
Diamond Hair has a live chat which is a helpful option, if they respond. The chat highlighted they would respond in just a few minutes, but I received an answer days later. Live chats prove to be most helpful in pre-purchasing to get a better idea about a product you want.
After the initial confirmation email, the company never contacted me. Since the hair was delivered in just over 48 hours, I had no reason to contact the company regarding shipping problems.
Delivery Time
The company is based out of the United States and products are shipped via USPS priority mail. Orders typically ship within 5-7 business days after payment is received, an additional 2-3 days are expected for the delivery itself. This product was delivered in 3 business days.
The package acquired an additional $15 for the shipping fee. This covered standard shipping along with a signature. Express shipping is available and has a fee of $35. The package came crushed which was disappointing, but the product wasn’t harmed.
Diamond Hair does offer international shipping. While they offer this service, the company is not responsible for any fees, custom or tariff related, that are associated with the order. They do not refund shipping charges that are acquired.
What others are saying
This customer was very happy with Diamond Hair. She purchased a bundle deal and the hair quality was worth ordering the weave. She even admitted to not taking care of the hair and it still continued to hold up.
This customer was not too happy with the hair that was purchased. The smell was one downside to the purchase along with the price of the product. It can be disappointing when you pay a lot of money for something that doesn’t live up to a high standard.
FAQ
Does Diamond Hair ship internationally?
Yes, the company does send their product internationally. While the company is based out of the United States, they do offer their services to customers around the world. Keep in mind if any fees occur due to the package crossing borders, the buyer is responsible.
Does Diamond Hair accept returns?
The company does not accept returns. Store credit and exchanges may be offered in some cases. All wigs are final sale and if an order is returned, the package must not be tampered with. Unfortunately shipping charges do not get reissued, this will count as a loss to the buyer.
Do we recommend it?
Yes! Diamond Hair provides a high quality unit, at an expensive price. While the wig was $300, for the shortest length, it’s worth every penny.
The company could have improved in certain areas, like ensuring the site properly works and faster response times. While the brand had a few flaws, the hair quality made up for them. The lace, density, and strands of the hair make shopping with Diamond Hair a good choice.
2 thoughts on “Diamond Virgin Hair Reviews”
I’ve emailed several times as well as called and no one ever picks up the phone. Ive wrote them on social media ( instagram @diamondvirginhair) and the messages says seen but no one responds. I wrote the business page as well as Hoperenita ( the owner) Hope Hall is her real name who seems to be out here living her best life with my stolen money. I also wrote Antonio Lisenbee who appears to be the CEO of the company. I placed an order on April 9th and I have yet to receive any updates. This company is processing orders( taking your money) and not sending out the product. Ive ordered from Diamond hair company many times in the past and never had any issues. It is now June 28 and still nothing. No product no money. They will just not cancel my order. This company is a scam. I don’t have money just to give away. I went to there website today to find out that it no longer exist.I hate that I trusted this company.
Damn, I hope you disputed with your bank. You saved me a headache not using them.
